The Meridian Arc Lamp is a three-way collaboration between a woodturner in Daylesford, a textile maker in Fitzroy, and our metalwork studio in Brunswick.
The walnut base is hand-turned on a foot-powered lathe, finished with a single coat of raw linseed oil. The linen shade is hand-sewn from undyed Belgian linen — chosen for its warm, golden diffusion of incandescent light. The brass stem is forged and annealed in our studio, bent to a specific angle of 23.5 degrees — the axial tilt of the Earth — as a quiet act of meaning.
