The Beacon Rattan Lamp draws on mid-century craft traditions of South-East Asia, reinterpreted through Australian coastal living.
The shade is woven by hand from sustainably harvested rattan cane, each strand dampened and bent over a hand-carved form to create the characteristic open weave. When lit, the shade casts intricate geometric shadows across walls and ceilings that shift as you move through the room. The bamboo stem is sealed with a clear water-based lacquer that preserves the natural colour without plasticising the surface.
